DARK_SHADOWS - Theme from A Summer Place
My favorite music reintroduction of the villainess character in Tim Burton's DARK SHADOWS (2012). Percy Faith's classic Theme from A Summer Place (1960) heralding the entrance of Barnabas Collins' jealous ex-lover Angelique Bouchard (played by Eva Green). The witch who cursed Collins to the immortal life of a vampire two centuries earlier.

This is the quiet interrogation scene involving Joseph Fiennes as the POW prisoner Maj. Gibson and the Japanese Kempeitai Maj. Nadai (Motoki Kobayashi). Note the use of Mozart's Sull 'Aria short duet from The Marriage of Figaro as the background music. The same opera song famously used in The Shawshank Redemption.

First Time Ever I Saw Your Face in The Best of Times

One of my favorite scenes in this 1985 sports comedy, directed by Roger Spottiswoode and written by Ron Shelton. It used, wonderfully, "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" song that was an international hit for Roberta Flack in 1972. A perfect inclusion in the story as the tune represented to the lead characters their crossroads, which was their graduating high school year.

I remember seeing this in theaters and laughing so hard at the singing and Tobey’s subtle facial expressions.
Franco um ditador sanguinário adorava este filme. O triste foi ver a decadência moral, do ex grande Ator Charlton Haston. Meu bisavô paterno era Espanhol.
But the key scene in this film is when Cid humbles the King of Spain and makes him swear an oath. That was a message to Franco that not even he was above the law.

This song is so effective in this scene, and would’ve been massively popular when Jack and Reno were in high school in ‘72.
The later sequence of Butch & Sundance at the top of the rock with the river in front & the posse behind for me was a defining moment. I use this when I reached a point in my life a few years ago when I had to choose a path to go & I didn't know what was below when I jumped (metaphorically of course!) into the unknown. I landed safely & all is fine with my life!

It’s fun to see actors who became famous for wildly different roles. If you watch the end of “Psycho,” in the prison scene, one of the cops is Ted Knight, who was famous for the bumbling newsman on the Mary Tyler Moore Show.
As the intended James Bond send up that Our Man Flint was intended to be, it hit the mark perfectly in every aspect - ! 😅

Everybody's been here. When absolutely everything annoys you. Lady couldn't eve play in tune. It's like the universe trolling you.
Loved lee remick music is amazing she had a lot of guts to drive over that bridge.😮
